I love this anime/manga with all my heart. I love everything about it from the twins to the drama. It has an equal dose of humor and romance that I think romance comedies should have. It has believable characters, likeable in their own ways especially Tamaki.
I don't have anything against rom-coms since some fanfiction I like are rom-coms...even though they are just a part of a huge plotty fic *cough*Walk*cough*on*cough*in*cough*Phantom*cough*HighSchool*cough*HostClub*cough*. I like the easy air of rom-coms.
The story is told well and strong enough to hold its own in the shoujo genre. I generally prefer shounen/seinen but I dabble on shoujo then and there when I feel like it. I like some shoujo series.
I got into it when I watched it out of recommendation. I was so glad I did so because it's just such a good manga/anime.
I recommend it to anyone.
