Headcanon-Verse

A warning: There are more sports anime/manga examples in here than I thought. Maybe because I'm still in that hell that sports anime offers a lot of BL, so many BL ships... When the characters have little interest in romance but their own sport and persons involved in said sport (sometimes using rather a flowery language and singularly focus on them), I would question them. I mean sports anime depending on what they focus on have little focus on the love interests or even taking the time to develop them beyond simple crushes. Even Oofuri, written by a female, has a crush or two but somehow having the gayest moments in them. Even boys who like girls by having pornography or simply liking a girl prioritized their career like Kuramochi Youichi. Onoda Sakamichi has a crush on Kanzaki Miki I guess but even he loves competitive cycling where he makes loads of friends and there's little development. Cross Game and Major have great romances interwoven so I really wonder what's the point in having romantic interests if you don't do anything to develop them except showing some shy glances and maybe a subtle confession by texting. That is not romance when I am not invested in them; there are so little interactions when the girls didn't do a thing like Yoshikawa Haruno or they're oblivious like Kanzaki Miki. I'm invested in Free!'s hit romances because the boys who have the crushes do something while Gou/Kou is oblivious but it's still something developed. Sports anime/manga are exactly sports anime/manga and shounen, sometimes seinen and shoujo but wanting little romances added to it when you don't do anything at all felt forced; it feels more like an afterthought. There's one thing to have a casual relationship but another if you want them to actually get together and make babies. Sports anime/manga are hotbeds for having more BL than actual canonical het relationships if you don't do anything to develop the latter, allowing a lot of shippy moments for the former. Sorry for the little rant.

I may perhaps explain this in my FFNet profile (which I eventually erased due to wanting to just make profile shorter) but this is an updated version. This is mainly for fun really since I'm still in MiyuSawa/MiSawa hell and reading loads of BL.

Okay, so...essentially it's basically CLAMPverse with Kingdom Hearts-eque thrown in. Okay, I got into KH first but I really love CLAMP to the point it's even in my username.

I would be best putting it in sections again.

Just to make it clear, it's an alternate universe...as far as I allow canon which I usually do...as long as canon make some good writing choices...then there will be alternate timelines. Although if there are world-traveling in media works like say Tsubasa Chronicles and Kingdom Hearts, then those remain canon.

Soulmates

You two are soulmates in my universe. You two are destined to fall in love in literally every world. If one of you are alone in the world where the other does not seem to exist, then you will remain single. That is a sad thought though because I literally want them to fall in love in every single universe, being the most shoujo couple out of the entirety of their own series, victimizing their friends and family with their lovey-dovey-ness.

Like CLAMPverse's pairs as best described here, I will have soulmates. The link likewise would do about unrequited love pairs I have as well, both canonically and fanonically. 

Shipping-wise depending on series, I tend to be a/have (with examples)

• a mono-shipper - I literally fell in love with MiSawa at their first meeting and there's no budging
• multi-shipper - I like Merlin X Arthur and Lancelot X Guinevere...where in-canon is just exasperating to just see. There is a reason why I love the Rumours-verse fanfic series.
• simply make a harem despite me not liking harems because I think it would make the romantic drama stop - OT3, OT# depending on the series and I tend to see most harem anime at least, even the reverse, for them to just well get them all even though I would certainly favor some couples then and there depending of course; I would put Glee in this category I guess, considering just how many love triangles involved and their love stories are either barely written like Klaine or tragically OOC for the sake of drama like Rachel's; Hell I don't even mind Yachi Hitoka with Hinata even though I like KageHina.
• soft spots - this is a maybe the ardent shipper in me. I really like Haikyuu's Tanaka Ryuunosuke X Shimizu Kiyoko; Daiya no Ace's Kuramochi Youichi X Aotsuki Wakana and Isashiki Jun X Fujiwara Takako; Free's Mikoshiba Seijuro X Gou/Kou Matsuoka (I am so sorry, Sea Otter-kun! You're a cutie, Momo, but I like your brother with her)
• gen - there are some series I don't ship any or just indifferent. In Marvel and DC, I don't ship often, preferring the canon couples and certain ships that caught me like Robin X Raven but other than that, nah. I don't even like Wonder Woman X Superman, seeing it and the Justice League more as a camaraderie. 

Just to get this out of the way, shipping is subjective. I have seen people supporting couples that are my BrOTPs or NOTPs. Shipping is supposed to be fun, not cause wars among fans (I genuinely hate Shipping Wars, Die For Your Ship, and all those things that cause dispute) when the purpose of shipping is meant to be fun interpretations of relationships with canon evidence or not.

Of course, since this is my universe, it would have pairings that I support. Even in media aimed at kids around 10-12 in America like the Percy Jackson series that have a canon gay couple (that people have the right to hate or be critical of due to how sudden and rushed the pairing was), shipping is subjective regardless. People have the full right to hate/dislike/loathe/criticize/etc. I mean I'm "meh" with RoChu and don't like FrUK from the Hetalia fandom but even then I don't even care; one part of me because HISTORY and the other because shipping is simply subjective therefore opinion.

Canon couples (which either I support/neutral/outright dislike depending on the pair of course) and the couples I support fervently would be soulmates.

Like what the link explains, these couples will fall in love regardless of their circumstances in each world. These feelings came from their heart and soul and these feelings remained unchanged no matter what world or circumstance. From Baby Steps, Maruo Eiichirou will always love Takasaki Natsu. In one world, instead of pro tennis players, they might run a ryokan or own a business much like Yukito and Touya & Arashi and Sorata.

Souls and Hearts are the same in all persons despite growing up in different circumstances thus different lives and personalities, yet the essence that what made them who they are still there in each and every incarnation regardless of amnesia or other circumstance. The Sawamura Eijun of one world will share the same heart and soul of all the other Sawamura Eijun's in other worlds for example. He might be dead not an old age but at 18 in one world and he might be a yakuza leader in another for example. Yes, these came from fanfics; one of them listed below and keep bringing up.

Unrequited love also came from the soul and heart. Like, say Chris Yuu Takigawa is in love with Sawamura Eijun who I already made soulmates with Miyuki Kazuya. Chris-senpai has an unrequited love for Sawamura Eijun in the same manner of Tomoyo Daidouji and Sakura Kinomoto. For a better example, I didn't really got onto the Asbel X Cheria bandwagon especially in the F arc so in the end Cheria suffered from unrequited love while Asbel's soulmate is Richard. The game never sold me on Asbel X Cheria - shippers can ship whatever they want to so this is just my own opinion; there is no right or wrong answer for a ship. Shipping doesn't even need canon to even board the ship - but instead it sold me on Asbel X Richard which is in some form a lighter and softer Suzaku X Lelouch in which the latter I ship happily. I mean I'm pretty much okay on Stahn X Rutee but I honestly prefer Stahn X Leon/Emilio. I love Mikleo X Sorey and Yuri X Estelle. I'm meh on Yuri X Flynn and Ristelle - I don't hate it nor do I like it either; basically it's okay in my opinion but I prefer something else and doesn't seem to tug my heart the way Mikleo X Sorey or Asbel X Richard did.

Yes, they will still love someone else (getting a partner, wife, husband, etc.) but as a soulmate soulmate kind of thing, they will always love their unrequited love. Sonomi and Nadeshiko, Tomoyo and Sakura are examples, particularly the former where Sonomi got married but still loves Nadeshiko. From my own verse, one of the unrequited loves I got, other than CLAMP, is the aforementioned Chris. He can love someone else (glances at Tanba Koichirou who also suffers from unrequited love for Chris) but it can never measure how much he loves Eijun.

Some people might have two or more soulmates, of course depending. Hikaru Shidou likes both Lantis and Eagle; while I prefer Lantis, I certainly don't mind Eagle. Since this is my universe, this can go with the OT# depending on what I like/neutral/indifferent/dislikes. Hmm. I certainly don't mind APH Hungary with either Austria or Prussia. On the other hand, I like APH Japan with Greece rather than Turkey. I am so sorry, Turkey...

Crushes and infatuations are just that. They aren't strong feelings that soulmates would have so it wouldn't be in every world; hell they might even crush on different people. A canonical crush like Sakura's crush on Yukito did not retain itself in Tsubasa...clones and originals.

Worlds

Who knows maybe a character you know like Hinata Shouyou might be living as a commoner? Hell, even imagine Tanaka and Noya in the Hanshin Republic with their own Kudan. Imagine Yuu Chris Takigawa living in the Piffle World as a mechanic. 

There are many different worlds (which basically means accepted fanfics and the worlds featured in Tsubasa Chronicles and Kingdom Hearts) and maybe a few timelines because of decisions.

That last part... yeah, I mean I like Katekyo Hitman Reborn and everyone already pointed out the confusion and plot holes about the Future Arc but a sadistic side of mine wants to keep the timelines still alive one way or another just so I can see these people weep.

In one of my favorite fanfics The Trajectory of Laughter, there are two timelines, perhaps 3 if we count canon. In the original timeline, Seidou actually lost in the Fall Tournament against Yakushi and the school didn't go to Koshien until Sawamura's third year; Miyuki's Seikou injury became so severe he is unable to play baseball so during the course of two years, he fell in love with Sawamura which is a crucial point in taking that fatal surgery...he died at the tender age of 18.

So, Sawamura at that tragic timeline went back to canon and started a new timeline where he and Miyuki fell in love again (although it seems like Sawamura and Miyuki will always fall in love seeing that Sawamura still feels something for Miyuki even in his amnesiac state) and Miyuki finding the world is not so bad after all; Furuya going down a good path; the third-years at the time fought Sakurazawa and Inashiro and won, going to Koshien

And Sawamura essentially died also at the age of 18. In the epilogue, he reunited with Miyuki Kazuya in the afterlife.

We don't know what happened to the original timeline where I said before where Sawamura got the yips and the third-years never went to Koshien, where Miyuki died from surgery just so he can play with Sawamura again. In my mind, it likely still exists because of Miyuki and Sawamura of the timelines, while dead, still exists. That's an oxymoron there...

The original ending before PKSamurai changed it had Eijun returned to his original timeline before he went with the most natural ending (yes, this BL fanfic is written by a guy named Kenta). So, the first thought I had that timeline still exist, just that Eijun died. The fic did leave things open for interpretation after all.

I just like the thought of a hospitalized third-year Sawamura Eijun died in a coma from an unstable brain and broken heart syndrome reminiscent of how Miyuki Kazuya's mom died in her slumber. I honestly want to see everyone's reactions to a tragic shoujo romance where Miyuki-senpai took the high-risk surgery just to play with the love of his life and Sawamura unable to play baseball because you know he's dead, following the love of his life just like he followed him to Seidou and maybe even university judging from Eijun's remark that he was planning to attend college before he learned of Miyuki's death. I want them to see the signs that the two are so strongly attracted to each other to the point they are willing to give up baseball and potentially their lives just to be together. Where we see Seidou including Ota and Rei, the retired Kataoka, the Nagano group see the signs when the couple was still alive and wish them every happiness in the next life.

Where we see Aramaki, the first-year pitcher, become a new Ace, memorializing his deceased captain. Where we see everyone try to immortalize their memory in ways they can.

While in Tsubasa Chronicles, we see how the time travel works due to Mokona's ability to travel through time and space and Yuuko's ability to reincarnate the clones. Look at Shura/Shara and Clow/Acid Tokyo. The latter is incredibly spoilery.

What about Back to the Future? We see the Bad Timeline due to Old Biff's meddling with the Almanac; Mostly Good due to the strained relationship between Marty and Jennifer. Look at the great timelines where we see instead of a tired and strained Marty's mom and dad, we got happily married and well-off parents.

Most people like to imagine the really bad original timelines to stay alternately and I really like that for my sadistic pleasure. Really, I imagine them to be another plane of their own existence, existing with other really bad timelines where a lot of people in-universe will cry, typically with me drinking alcohol made of the tears.

Now that's out of the way.

The people.

Just like the captions said and the link in the previous section, there will be different versions of people in each and every world. Due to different world's circumstances, people will have different lives, different personalities, different bodies; at the core they are one and the same, sharing the same heart and soul.

Like, say Onoda Sakamichi from YowaPeda is a scientist instead of a competitive cyclist in one world. Maybe he grew up with an ambitious mind to study mermaids that exist there and have very supportive friends and family who study in the same field. Maybe Sohoku cyclists are with him too, studying the mermaids. However, all Onodas of the universe shares the same heart and soul. So if he ever meets his most precious person that invokes feelings that came from his own heart and soul, he will fall in love with that person in every world, requited or not. It's Kanzaki Miki and Manami Sangaku, the expy of Kaworu Nagisa which I made soulmates with Ikari Shinji who got another soulmate in Asuka Langley Sohryu. Yeah, Shinji has two soulmates because I love both pairs. Why do I keep shipping Kaworu Nagisa expies with the main protagonist?

I'm just rolling out any ideas. I commonly use fanfics, just the accepted ones that would mostly be featured (even the not-so-good ones in my opinion) would make it as one of the worlds.

You know the previous post I made about Alternate Universes, yeah, it's technically part of headcanon-verse, just that these worlds never intersect. Some people might be aware like how in Tsubasa, there are a lot of people who are aware of Yuuko Ichihara, the Dimensional Witch and all those other names she was gotten; there are active world travelers like our Tsubasa group, the vampire twins, and the vampire hunter brothers. Ironically, the latter two are soulmates in CLAMPverse. If you read Tokyo Babylon and X/1999, you know the originals.

So to sum up:

• A different plane of existence for timelines a la Katekyo Hitman Reborn
• In different worlds, there are different versions of people with the same soul and heart no matter what circumstances (different bodies, lives, personalities) they grew up
• There are soulmates where the strongest feeling from the heart, the soul will manifest in each and every alternate. Miyuki will always fall in love with Sawamura in each and every world for example because their feelings for each other are so strong and unchanging. 
• If that most precious person is not with them (whether they have not met yet or they simply don't exist), they'll remain single.

Hahahahahaha... I know I'm beating a dead horse here but this movie is what BvS should've been. It really should've been this. It's tackling the same themes and ideas but coherent, properly motivated characters, and better written in almost every degree.

I have no idea what Marvel is doing right what DC is doing wrong. DC is panicking right now and they really should've done their own thing while Marvel does their thing. Look at Japan with their own Superhero crossovers (Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, etc.). Granted they're Toei but still they having been doing their own crossovers for ages now and they know what they're doing. DC doesn't have to play the catch-up game when all the people wanted from the superhero genre are good ones. Look at the positively glowing reception for most of their movies, most not all.

I'll stop now. I said what I want to say before I will go on another rant.

Fanfic Rec: Soul Series

Maybe I would do a Final Review when the second part finishes.

Kyo Kara Maoh!: It's flawed, very flawed. I like the characters enough but the plot structure needs work. In comparison to Glee, this is heaven and manageable. While I never read the light novels (I did read Zero no Tsukaima and two of Narita Ryohgo's works), I always have this nagging feeling that it's not that faithful.

It's not a Bleach recommendation. I was trying to figure out how to unofficially name the series. Anyway, the author reminds us that s/he is only familiar with the anime so best not to let knowledge of light novels get better of.

Soul Hunters: Post Season 3. Enemies from a past life catch up with Wolfram. A significant person from Wolfram's past life emerges, throwing the Mazoku's life in chaos. And as he recovers his memories of this previous lifetime, he is forced to make a difficult - even cruel - choice. Complete.

Soul Breaker: Part 2 of Soul Hunters. Guided by Shinou, Wolfram leaves his life behind in order to save Ryuu's soul. On the other hand, Yuuri finds out the truth about Ryuu, and together with his friends, he goes after Wolfram right into the place where everything started - Raven Port.

I really like the fics. It's a little more tragic in certain spots and definitely darker; there was actual war and described onscreen deaths. Not only it addresses certain characters' agencies but also forces these characters into situations that forced them to face what they have been avoiding. I was basically fawning when Yuuri finally took the mantle of being a king seriously. Sure it took catalysts for him (jealousy towards Damian, uneasiness toward Ryuu) to actually get on his feet and be the king he could be. I know that it's divine monarchy in Shin Mazoku but if Shinou chose the pure and noble soul to be king, there have to be something about Yuuri that would make him a decisive leader, handling affairs like economy and warfare.

I like how the fic brought into light about certain issues like Wolfram's designated role as a trapped and manipulated person and Yuuri's little activity as king. I really hope to see more fruit in the second part that Wolfram can finally stand on his own with a far stronger will than ever. The world-building is graciously well-structured with the Ryuzoku (dragon riders and Wolfram ended up becoming one as well) and Crypt of Souls. We see the most political part of the story which is relieving to see. It's not stuffy, just handled well like what I thought how it was handled in Code Geass.

The Japanese honorifics when not placed in Japan is a bit awkward. I think it is best to literally translate the Japanese words such as heika to your majesty. It's off-putting, to say the least. It's understandable in the anime and there is a dub. Despite the world of demons have some obvious European inspirations, there are underlying Japanese aspects to it. Foreign languages in English works doesn't really irritate me that much; it's simply how the usage of those terms can do, sometime deducting points due to detraction. Deducting even more points for appropriating culture (which is one of the bigger problems of BH6 because I don't see Hiro, Cass, or Tadashi celebrating Japanese culture in some shape or form like how about using gratuitous Japanese in a meaningful fashion like Hiro calling Tadashi Aniki or Nii-san for example (I address my relatives by what is appropriate); how about a Japanese shrine or have a picture on a desk for Tadashi (my family have shrines for those who passed away and have gatherings on the death date); or Japanese pastries/confectioneries sold in the cafe (onigiri or anpan or even taiyaki couldn't be hard to make if they are making donuts & macarons and I saw the official menu; my family made Vietnamese pastries/sweets for gatherings). My family celebrate Vietnamese culture through food, customs, etc & appreciate each and every gesture made because it's beautiful and respectively, my friends who are Chinese or Spanish still celebrates their culture. All I see in the film are toriis, lanterns, and some Japanese kanji/hiragana/katakana. There was a ramen stand during the Baymax flight.).

The OC's are great. Damian, The Crypt of Soul, every single OC's are amazingly well-developed and personalized. I like OC's personalized not repetitive expies. Expies are fine when executed well enough that can set the character apart. Kouta and Mai from Gaim are different from Madoka. Micchy is different from Sayaka and Homura despite the comparisons. In comparison to Glee, Sam is the only one who is remarkable enough for me to remember of Finn's expies and even then some potential in him was not fulfilled like his dyslexia and his relationship with Mercedes (which I do ship). I do find Rachel Berry to be rather fascinating a character and her character has charisma and passion that her later expies don't seem to have, even Marley. Marley did later went on to be Supergirl after all and fared much better. Glee is exasperating as a whole; as I stated before, I don't have a dethroning moment or a jumping the shark moment (both of which are entirely subjective (just see Shark Jumping, a web video series where two people discussed TV series and where they believe the show jumped the shark) and for me who is a neutral person on par with Switzerland's level of neutrality is quite difficult when all I want to do is be fair; rather be fair than to be biased) to any type of media.

Typically I don't care about love triangles or other shapes. I just care about execution, Love triangles may be exhausting when they don't do anything about it or just do stupid drama when they could do is talk seen in the case of Glee. I like how the love square is handled in-fic, each character seeing and knowing what is going on by a character telling them. It's self-contained and didn't hurt the characters.

Okay going into spoiler territory here. Then again, I warned about spoilers on my blog subheader...

The hints/foreshadowing that Yuuri and Ryuu are one and the same are worth applauding. It's constant enough to warrant a warning bell in your head.

The author said she was bothered that there were no consequences for Shinou's 'experiments' for a pure and noble soul. I was bothered about that too just as I am bothered how there are little consequences in P3-4. And I love how the author goes about solving this.

So Shinou, no matter how much you spin that he was possessed or his intentions, experimented on his dear friend Gavriel's soul, "splitting" it apart. The splitting results in the pure and noble soul (Susannah Julia/Shibuya Yuuri) & an aberrant soul (Ryuu).

Then Weisser, Gavriel's brother and Soul Keeper, took him away for a life (full of tragedy when the poor boy just wants to live in peace). Ryuu cannot be dead completely but rather reincarnated over and over only to have to kill just to prolong his life.

After lifetimes of tragedy and bloodshed, Ryuu wants to die and went to the Lombards where he would meet his Soul Breaker. In two years, he would fall in love with Frey Lombard and visa versa. He would nearly annihilate the Lombard clan, sending Frey into shock. Thus the Crypt of Souls specifically the leader Gottfried contacted him and tell him half-truths.

However, both were killed. Frey by Ryuu and Ryuu by suicide.

Frey eventually learned the truth of the whole affair from Weisser once he reached the Crypt of Souls; the experiments, the lead-up to Ryuu's death seeking. He was killed by Ryuu and even met Ryuu in the afterlife. The two reborn while the other half of the original soul reincarnated as Shibuya Yuuri after the pure and noble soul's first life as Susannah Julia.

We know that Wolfram is designed to destroy Ryuu completely and implied by Weisser's statement that he can kill the other part of the soul, he is also designed to destroy Yuuri as well. The irony that the halves of the same soul fell in love with the Breaker destined to destroy them had been said. Would Gavriel fall for the Breaker? I know that Susannah Julia is in love with another...

So, Shinou essentially ruined the lives of three innocent people and perhaps more due to association of original (Gavriel) and the incarnations (Conrad would be shocked to know that his brother had been the one destined to destroy Julia's soul and that Julia's soul is incomplete; that the pure and noble soul is only half a soul.). While it stated in-fic that the pure and noble soul have the right of life, the soul itself is still not whole regardless of purity. Many flat-out stated there are no such thing as an entirely good individual.

Seeing in the latest chapter, we see that the citizens especially those close to Wolfram and Yuuri are this close to finding out the truth of the matter. They would be so angry... I wanted them to know the truth of the situation just how messed up the lives of their friends have been. When nobody wants their brother/friend/son to die.

I highly recommend this series because it's more than just great characters and feeling a lot like something out of the anime/light novel/manga. It's honestly good.

Y'know for some bittersweet or downright tragic fics for couples I support fervently (AKA soulmates in my headcanon-verse; yes, I firmly believe Miyuki Kazuya and Sawamura Eijun to be soulmates for example and as this tag for this post said I want them to fall in love in literally every universe so... basically CLAMP) or for fics that are vaguely TRC (like in this fic), the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles OST by Yuki Kajiura plays in my head.

I know how Jazz is very divisive and not everyone's cup of tea. Music is music and entirely subjective. Just really like you guys to take a look at this.

Mini-Review: Batman v Superman and Zootopia

*sigh*

The critics are almost on point. I really want to like this movie, really I do. I was right about BvS getting the same treatment as MoS...

I don't hate the movie. It does have some good points (mostly because of three actors) but overall the movie's hollow and frustrating.

The good points:

• I will take the moments of levity when I can. There is a reason why I love Persona 4. I do not want Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy and DCCU suffers from this so much. I don't mind dark stories but here's the thing: if there is nothing bright worth fighting and sympathizing for, then why should we care? Why MCU works is because of the character's soul, wry wit, and humanity.
• Ben Affleck, Jeremy Irons, and Gal Gadot are great. They may have very little to work with (so very little) but they are trying in comparison to Amy Adams, Henry Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg, and others. Just yeah. 
• The cameos. I don't mind the cameos in the MCU and I feel it didn't detract too much.

The bad points:

• The hollowness. I don't even mind Batman and Superman killing. However, the presentation of the reason is so hollow and makes me just throw something at the screen. Which I didn't because I don't want to waste food so I settle for screaming mentally. Reasons are so shallow and never honestly examined. Sure we get some ideas but never fully elaborated to its full potential.
• The plot. Like I get what they are going for. Most of the time, the questions raised were never addressed. The film is mostly an excuse for conflict between Batman and Superman: what makes the conflict was just stupid and I just want to scream. It should be ideological differences, not this, this thing.
• Why? Why do you do this scene that would lead to nowhere and that plot point that doesn't make any sense in the overall game? Don't you see the potential in the film? Why people love DC? For example, why kill off Jimmy Olsen? What is the freaking point? The freaking potential there is staring at you in the face, Synder and you go for the shock value? Don't do the Family Guy thing, Synder. I know you are trying but your directing makes me want to cry. I can see the potential in there so please for the sake of your audience who wants something moderation of light and dark.

I do not want DC movies to be Marvel-style of movies. I just want them to have moments of levity and great comical lines; make them your own but remember to moderate darkness and comedy. Nolan's Batman films have great lines despite its darkness. The DCCU is just so joyless and cold that I don't feel invested in them. Look, it's great you want dark stories but dark and drama should be balanced by comedy and heartwarming. Dark stories do not mean always great stories. There is a reason why Marvel and DC telly are great: while Marvel movies are light and happy and their telly are dark while still having light moments & DC movies are dark while TV is light, they are both great in many respects.

I have seen interviews from Zack Synder and see him defending the collateral damage in MoS to Death Star. I want to point out to him and it seems like everyone else already did: it was the BAD GUYS who destroyed it not the GOOD GUYS. Synder is so big-headed that he thinks he can toss eggs at MCU when he doesn't truly understand why the audience is complaining. Please for the love of Godoka, don't make any more comments about Marvel and how you think you know better when you clearly don't, just don't insult your audience and imply they are stupid. I know you have fans but that is merely a niche audience.

So here's some Deadpool. A good superhero film. Take notes, Synder, to know what to do with a superhero film and doing right with the right superhero. The right kind of balance and wonder. Even though the wonder of Deadpool is the fourth wall jokes (though the film missed the joke with Stan Lee as a stripper announcer; come on, Deadpool should have commented on that!).

Furries must be really happy about Gazelle. I seriously wonder why Shakira want the hips to be emphasized? Just why?

Joking aside, the current Disney is okay. I mean I do love Cinderella 2015 up there with my favorite Cinderella adaptations (one of the themes is one of my life's philosophy) but then there's Frozen. I wouldn't exactly call it a Disney Renaissance but more like Disney still taking shaky baby steps...which is still freaking better than the DCCU.

The movie is more coherent. There are certainly some low points (Duke Weaselton for example and the plot twist; there are hints about it like Bellwether at the press conference but it's not constant) and there are some good points. It's not a masterpiece but still better put-together than Frozen anyhow. I just feel that the movie is just scratching the surface of how complex the world views racism/sexism despite its great allegory.

I like the characters and the actual playing with tropes. It actually examines racism/sexism though the allegorical tale; so subtle too which is a good point. I took a Sociology Class and still kept the books for it because unlike the other books I sold, I want to keep it for the sake of studying. I love the relationship between Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde and I don't particular care of shipping or platonic. I just like them together platonic or romantically, what was Ted said about himself and Robin "Platonish". I do love Po X Tigress and I do love their moments in KFP3 and I love Crane X Mei. I love BL for god's sake and a steadfast shipper of Miyusawa from Daiya no Ace and MakoHaru from Free!. The Four Loves should still apply. Why should I even care that they're animals? I don't think of sex things despite reading more R18 doujins more than I can count; I look more for sweet gooey fluff. Why else do I love intimate moments that will make me flush?

It is true that the current Disney is going to grittier topics like depression (even though Frozen skims it and Inside Out actually examines it through the Emotions) and grief and bereavement (Hiro). Should I add Force Awakens to this? Well, then psychological disorders (Kylo Ren).

However, it all depends on execution. Zootopia can be good in some respects but it's not perfect and it's not a masterpiece. Like I get Magnum Opus like your best work yet kind of thing but calling it perfect is disingenuous to the present flaws.

AUs~

When it comes to AU, it just makes me think of the potential. How this character would react to this or how this character would change as a result of this or you get the idea. There is just so much you can do with AU: Music Industry (Idol, Classical Music, etc); Ice (Figure Skating, Ice Hockey, etc); Sports (Baseball, Tennis, etc); and who knows what else is there in the bottomless library of fan's imagination from the R-rated to the cutest.

I effing love music AU's. I wanted to play the violin but I ended up playing the piano instead. My cousins have keyboards (always set to piano) and a baby grand piano. I always wanted to learn to play the violin but did play the flute and the piano. I have a strong appreciation for classical music, listening to it always soothe me of my troubles. It's just relaxing to listen to it. My brother and another cousin are in a choir; while some of my cousins definitely have tennis, I think I heard that some of them have the choir as well. I definitely know one of my cousins was originally a music major before he switched to a doctor or some related medical field.

What I'm listing is just one of the few alternate universe fics that deals with the arts, be it musicians of all walks of life or actors performing their best or characters have some talent in the arts. Y'know, The Trajectory of Laughter reminds me of Your Lie in April with the lots of missed chances and the downright tragic moments (hell the fact that Miyuki went into a high-risk surgery just to play with Sawamura again and died in the surgery is Kaori's final situation)...well with the exception that Miyuki and Sawamura are reunited in death at the end of the story due to the time-travel stuff; we are so lucky that Miyuki and Sawamura has another chance in life and death in their timelines. I mean the romance between the two are so very shoujo; even Terajima noted that the first meeting is like one of those encounter scenes (he must be a fan of shoujo or at least having a liking to it considering three of his charas love shoujo manga), let's even say something about Miyuki and Sawamura's backstory and the eventual closeness to the point they are each other's life and soulmates; however, it's more tragic shoujo and when our hero(ine) went back, they are doing the best to be with their love of their life. That is way off-topic.

Mini-Review: Galavant

This show isn't the best; I do not hate the show but I certainly enjoy it. Catchy tunes (Alan Menken~!) but not the best written. The comedy can sometimes be funny (mostly due to delivery than the actual lines) but I often finding myself if I had been on the writing team, I would turn stuff on its head rather than doing some of the routes taken. It's less deconstruction and more parody; even Merlin has better deconstruction even though it's an all safe show with pointless character deaths and have so much potential if the writers get into their heads that the magic reveal that fans wanted would spark the change that the show so dearly needed.

Like Merlin, whether it is a fairy tale land or some place in actual history lost is up to whatever you think.

The main characters can be fun. While they aren't as dynamic as Richard and Madalena, they can be sweet and their actors gave a great performance.

I do love Richard and Madalena. While not well-written (as per rest of the show), they are interesting enough to keep up with to just see how far they will go in achieving their goals and what they are as people. Even Gareth who got some development in S2 has some great chemistry with Madalena, mainly in due with how they are both horrible warmongering people and they understand each other on a twisted level.

The romance is not the best written. It does have potential, though; I just want them to talk and explored their relationship could mean instead of singing about developing crushes. I personally thought the Chef and Gwynne have more development than Galavant & Isabella and Richard & Roberta. Madalena and Gareth have better romantic development than our heroes' romances.

Both season finales are fine, enough for each character. It does show how far each character had gone so far in their journey at least in the final season.

While I'm aware that the show is unlikely to be renewed, it does have a fanbase and I hope these people the best.

Despite the characters not the best written even at their most likable, I am still doing the Arcana.

Now it's no surprise that I started a love-hate relationship with Disney and Pixar. Dreamworks had yet to and I always found it exasperating when there are take that towards this particular company. I don't care that you don't like this but you cannot ignore that there are some good that Dreamworks produced just as Disney and Pixar produced some bad. It goes with a long history and brand name which the latter part is still bad for people thinking animation is for kids and only for kids. You cannot honestly expect that anything can be put out be good completely. I mean I love Hiromu Arakawa and I still criticize her works no matter how much I love them. Yes, there are good writers and bad writers but they can make a bad work and a good work respectively.

Also, I do not want you to follow my opinions like drones. I saw it with internet reviewers when some made clear that they do not want you to do that (although there are some who let popularity get to their heads and relish on those who hate those movies just as they do). I do respect their opinions even though I disagree with them...more often than not. I am too kind to do any kind of talking behind their back (personally while a discussion is fine, go straight up to the creator and discuss it...civilly) and I would take it up with them, to communicate with them to disagree with their opinion. I saw it before in AT4W's comments sections where they are people who do like the comics Linkara reviewed and he's utterly respectful even going as far as reiterating his point in various videos. While Channel Awesome may not be always great, they are at least respectful to other's opinions (just look at the Man of Steel movie where I recall Angry Joe having a positive opinion while his colleagues have less than positive. Look at the Nostalgia Critic review of the movie with two sides arguing and it's good and fair.) and try to understand in spite of brutal honesty these critics reveled in. Hey, at least they didn't revel in pissing people off. If they did, it's more accidental and more due to their attitude. Hey, that's just my opinion and I haven't seen all the critics...although there are critics that greatly turned me off like Blockbuster Buster. Try one video and I just can't....

I love crossovers myself but this is getting out of hand.

By the way, the parentheses that have the parts of a movie title are unofficially part of this stupid shipping fandom.

I don't mind people making crossovers as long as they are self-contained and this fandom is not self-contained. I personally don't like this crossover because of how the characters are wrecked for pairing's sake (and that is what is primarily, a shipping fandom not like other shipping fandoms I saw because one it kept growing) and as more animated films (well the popular ones that are) came out, the more films are added.

I initially try to like this because I want to like it with many of my favorite characters. If used well, then there can be good fanfics out there. Crossovers is a difficult thing to maintain because characters must react to ways that are not their own and be IC at the same time. Humanity and all characters must play a part in the story, not just your main protagonists (even if your main focus is on the pairing). Don't ignore anything of value from the original but try to mesh well with the worlds you wanted to write. See Kingdom Hearts and Marvel Cinematic Universe for official media crossovers. If want an example of fanfiction, see Gameplay by Azurelitestar or Shara Raizel's works of Digimon crossovers.

However, it's hard to take seriously when the characters are more likely to fight (Merida and Hiccup due to their origins... and no, I really can't see them together due to how the movies handle their development. Merida is just bad, caring about herself and making other conform to her ideals instead of understanding what it means to be Queen whereas Hiccup was forced to grow up and learn what it means to be chief and done more than Merida did. If I want any kind of relationship, it would be a friendship based on their adrenaline activities and remain friends. I want all these characters involved in this fandom just be friends.) and characters to their respective world. I want to keep them separate because characters connected to each of these characters are ignored or taken to the side even though those characters take a great change in their protagonists. I hate the OOC with the passion which is a big no-no; normally I don't mind OOC moments as long they get their character but to see it like Man of Steel level is saddening. The last fanfic I recommend had OOC Tadashi but the way the author handled Tadashi's descent and transition from a benevolent man to an anti-heroic unscrupulous hero and how he became Kitsune is much better portrayed and better yet IC than Jack Frost being Elsa's husband (while I honestly have a liking for Jack X Bunnymund, even Tooth is better for Jack than Elsa). Yes, I can see people ship them (an extent) and I hate ship wars but even I, one who love crossovers, have my limits.

People, I don't mind you guys liking this and shipping whatever pair you like but even now, I would rather see the Merthur or any BL ship fandom in any fandom except this one.

Hey, this sequence is completely awesome and delightfully meta. I like the movie and it's still better than the other Captain America film. I meant the very old one, not the recent ones.

So I just watched Inside Out and I enjoyed it, more than Frozen. Frozen skimmed a lot of things while IO actively examines depression through the Emotions' actions. I just feel insulted by what Frozen said about depression when it's hardly researched. I don't want to hate Frozen but when other movies and works know how to do what Frozen had and make it their own no matter how cliche their work is, then it's honestly saddening. I don't want to yell or condemn anyone but rather I want them to listen. I am willing to listen to those who hate the works I love like Hetalia (except those haters I encountered doesn't seem to realize what Hetalia actually is) or FMA; I would understand even though I disagree with their opinion. It boils down to opinion and should be treated respectfully. Even though my cousin does not like Steven Universe, I do and would try to understand why she doesn't like it and I would argue civilly why it's good in my opinion, more than just lesbian space-rocks or other stuff that the really militant social justice toxicity are infecting those who really want to actively help the society. I would remind you that the former really made me want to block the tags involving that social justice even though I took a Sociology class out of interest of the fury regarding the events that took place when I was taking said classes and because Tumblr, while a lesser evil, became a bit toxic to me to even go there except for side-blogs I handle.

The closest sparkly-eyes beside FMA would be Hetalia. Yes, these two franchises stick to me and I will hug whatever merchandise I got to my chest like it's my lifeline. Well, maybe beside FMA and Hetalia, boy's love could be included into the mess but I don't actively collect merchandise from a genre though even though I would collect some really homoerotic-type merchandise like what I did with the Suzalulu wallscroll I purchased from a convention. Maybe Persona too since I really wish I could get the water gun Evoker and maybe Pokemon too with the games. Making my own Soul Gem would be nice if it weren't for the implications from the original anime. I'm dying to collect something anime/manga-ish, maybe I should have asked my cousin for the 2003 FMA anime DVD's for Christmas but I got the gloves I wanted.

I digress.

I like to keep a low profile blending into the shadows like Kuroko but instead Kuroko being more visible the more he develops as a player and as a character, I really like to keep to myself while maintaining connections to people but this is mainly a post of where else you can find me on the net. This is out of boredom and I'm not sure if this has any purpose.

To find me, search CLAMP Full Metal Heart and there you would have to find Archive of Our Own and Fanfiction dot net. My stories aren't that well-done and I'm freely honest about it. I mainly review and try to beta stories which already been beta'd but other then that, I prefer to give out ideas when I see potential in it. Seeing how I view fanfiction as a creative medium, I want everyone to improve and I don't want to impart cruelty and call them so horrible when potential is there; I'm not a caustic critic like a majority of Channel Awesome and ex-members which I'm being turned-off unfortunately while I'm still subscribing to some reviewers I still like. I myself am an English major and studying to be a developmental editor after all. Even though I know how difficult it would be to find a job, I would try to have ends meet and do the best I can even if I have to freelance. I'm stubborn like that.

There's also clampfma for both this site and Tumblr, our supposed greatest intelligent minds on social media (there are some smart ones, there are some not so smart ones, a-hole ones, stupid ones, etc compacted into one site). I hardly use Tumblr beside checking on some stuff but mainly I avoid that minefield. Then again, Tumblr is the lesser evil to other sites like reddit and 4chan. I prefer this site to be honest.

As an edited note, I came across a really arrogant writer and critic in the Pokeani fandom named Farla. I'm just laughing at what she believes is best and everyone should listen to her, not taking in consideration of what others had been doing for years. Bashing on TAC and Middleground without any grounds of actually examining the fics and the anime and Bulbapedia just makes me laugh. Look, I don't care if you don't like a particular (popular) fic; what up-and-coming writers need are constructive criticism and encouragement. Not bullsh** incendiary trollish reviews that went on about how rules cannot be broken and there are certain things that always/never be done; a thing I do not like since the English Language is flexible and can do a lot of stuff not cohesive to rules (I can so vouch for this being an English major who has a strong emphasis on story development). Just because I prefer to type out whole sentences does not mean I stick to the rules. You would take away my semicolons away from my cold dead fingers. DO NOT LISTEN TO FARLA AND ANYONE WHO SAYS/IMPLIES THAT RULES CANNOT BE BROKEN OR THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS THAT NEVER/ALWAYS BE DONE!

Oh, I'm definitely enjoying the new Big Bang Theory season so far. Better writing and development in terms of the relationships shown so far. TBBT doesn't always have the best of writing or comedy but when there is something good there, it's something good. I like how they're stepping up their game here with recent developments that could mean change for loads of characters. I'm not going to spoil anything but what I can see about S9 so far is change and growth, rather than the stagnation that other seasons suffer from and only brought up in episodes dedicated to them. Seeing these characters changing, becoming more mature is just great to see.

Fanfic Rec: Tadashi Hamada, Big Hero 6's Antagonist

Kitsune/spirit foxes seem to be a theme for our anti-heroic Tadashi. I do find it ironic that while we would think that Tadashi would be in brightly colorful armor like his friends, he ended up going in dark colors with little armor. In the fic, he's a one-man army due to the experiments he undergoes. 

I have an admitted love for characters going anti-hero/villain. I love Dark Mercury of PGSM fame and I imagined characters going bad. Just as I like Face-Heel Turn trope, I also love the Heel-Face Turn. I do like characters going good, seeing how their character develop was great.

And one of these characters I imagined going bad or at least anti-hero is Tadashi Hamada of Big Hero 6.

And it seems I'm not the only one.

Okay, BH6 isn't exactly the greatest with the whitewashing (god look what they did to Ainu Fred in the film adaptation? The animation of women in Disney is still terrible due to their lack of diversity because I literally thought with the exception of Gogo, Honey is basically white not Latina. I couldn't find anything distinguishable from the Latina lineage at all. I mean I can tell which ethnicity Sofia Vergara is. I have no problem with a racially diverse group but what I do mind is what the heck are they thinking making Hiro half white, Fred, an Ainu in original comics to white and Honey Lemon, half white. Why make the choice of making them white in some form when there can be full-blooded Japanese or Hispanic out there? Albeit American-raised. I'm Vietnamese and raised for two years in Vietnam but I ultimately grew up here in America and identified myself as Vietnamese-American, a naturalized citizen. I have no problem with biracial persons out there and I don't want to offend anyone but the choice to make it less offensive to the choice to make it indeed revolutionary is just heartbreaking especially when they had the choice.) and what they did to San Fran and Tokyo, why not pick a simple location instead of going out of their way to destroy San Fran's history (couldn't Disney set it up in a futuristic San Fran or something? Set it up in Tokyo if you don't want to set it up in San Fran. I mean we got Japanifornia for Ace Attorney but that's only in the western release and we got cool names like Phoenix Wright but at least that can be easily solved by having a system primarily for the lawyers for the Turnabout System although things that are primarily Japanese culture dug a hole deep). I digress. I like how they tackle grief and the overall story, better put together than Frozen. Then again, past Disney works are better than Frozen. Look, I am still going to go through Frozen's world in Kingdom Hearts like it happened but we're skipping it kind of thing (thank you, Square Enix, for not including Frozen in KH yet and thank you for not including it yet in any installments no matter how popular your game is). I need to stop digressing whenever I reach the topic of Frozen. You got the idea that BH6 is better than Frozen, got it? While the Oscars still don't know anything about animation making that category null and void of any win if anyone voting doesn't care but I already made my argument in a previous post so any wins in that category is null and void and nobody won, of course, not even Frozen. What won was the growing view that animation is for kids and therefore adults don't care even though modern day American animation (and I'm focusing on America only. I still see you, Alfred,on~! Our heroic attitude always get on the nerves of other nations, right, Alfred? No matter how well-meaning we are, we tend to go overboard even though our views mean very little in other countries unless it's North Korea. Hey, Himapapa, at least you got that characteristic down pat. Still hilarious I'm willing to call Himapapa but no Terajima-sensei anywhere in sight.) have such great shows such as Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, and Avatar.
We need to move onto the fanfics before I say things I already said before in previous posts.

Now to be honest, if a sequel is greenlit for Big Hero 6, I already mourned Tadashi's death and there shouldn't need to be any more angst. Please, I'm an anime fan; I saw favorite characters, good and bad, interesting and bland, died. You have no idea how I cried at Nina Tucker's death in FMA...both versions of course; no matter how many times I watched the series particularly those set of episodes, I always bawled like a baby. Anyways, I found it hilarious that we like to torture our favorite characters in all fandoms even though sometimes canon took great measures to do so already. In the BH6 fandom, Tadashi or Hiro went through the most breaking. While I do like the idea of Tadashi opposing BH6 in some way be it antihero or villain, how on earth did he survive the explosion is the question.

Unexpected Turn of Events: Tadashi didn't die in the fire, but he emerged from the ashes as a whole new person due to mysterious circumstances. Hiro learns this the hard way when he manages to knock the mask off the person who attacked him and his friends, and when he manages to get himself kidnapped by the person he used to call 'brother'. (Yokai!Tadashi AU. Spoilers Inside.)

Fox-Face and Flames: Another mask-wearing hero arrives in San Fransokyo. Having no qualms about killing, this man appears to be more of an adversary than an ally to the city's six heroes. Putting aside, something about this fox-masked, anti-hero seems melancholy and familiar... alive/anti-hero!Tadashi

These works are similar, dealing with Tadashi subject of human experiments, experiencing so much trauma he went amnesiac and went bad basically. But it also deals with how these people connected to have been impacted by the current Tadashi's actions, being dark as he is.

I believe the reason why I like the second recommendation much because it expands the universe BH6, without the comic thing which is already racist on its own and the movie isn't doing much better in that apartment, on its own except this deals with things the safe Disney now won't go to that direction. The fic takes a lot of risks, having Tadashi tortured and going through hell a la Tokyo Ghoul's Kaneki Ken (the author admitted she took a lot of what Tadashi went through from Kaneki's experience in the manga. Wow, there are a lot of Alive!Tadashi AU's out there that does have Tadashi going evil/antihero or just plain alive and on the side of good but this is the most horrific one I have seen written for poor Tadashi who snapped in the end.) and deals a lot with the psyche and the nature of evil and humanity. While the film explores vengeance and grief which is well-written, this fic takes what the film had and expands the deeper and philosophical level especially the latter deal. It's certainly not pretentious and it does go with the science theme of the film.

This is a criticism of the film itself but the rest of the team doesn't really have much impact. Yes, we see their characters and nakama but Wasabi, Honey, Gogo, and Fred makes so little impact other than what symbolize what Tadashi is; so since we see some similarity between Tadashi and his friends, we should see Hiro see that Tadashi lived more than just Baymax but also his friends. I wanted to see more interactions and we do get them in supplemental materials and the manga. What fanfics does is allow things that movie has little hints about and can even improve something. This fanfic does just that, allowing these side-characters to grow and befriend their supposedly-dead friend's team of anti-heroes and all of them have different reactions although the encompassing reaction to the Doubutsu trials is horror and shock. All these characters have an impact on the characters and the overall story and it's just so good to see like that.

I should let you know that during the formation of Big Hero 6 and Hiro's grief-revenge thing, we got Tadashi going through torture and trauma a la Tokyo Ghoul. We could make the assumption based on the timeline because 1) Tadashi and others that were recovered from their accidents and thus thought to be dead by loved ones has long since healed from their accidents especially Tadashi who still got burn scars and 2) 5B trials took place in the span of 30 or so days which would be the time Big Hero 6 would make their appearance. He's in a far worse situation than Hiro was in when he wanted revenge, getting a new personality out of the ordeal. I have to remind you that the Big Hero 6's formation relies on Tadashi's 'death' and he's the reason why they chose to be superheroes. So, the reason, Nice Guy Tadashi snapped and become an antithesis of himself. In-fic, what this new Tadashi had done horrified them. That is until they learned the reason why the way he is.

The OC's are great too, diverse in their reactions towards their really unfortunate circumstances (that is very good because people have different ways to cope with different personalities). They are victims of unfortunate circumstances, having no choice to kill in this Battle Royale experimentation. All of them had nearly died and recovered and then sent to a mini hell on earth. I wish that after all this mess and CASCO is revealed to the world for their inhumanity, there's an honor set for the people who had died including those who got killed by various members AKA Tako. Man, what is it with octopuses? In the Lego Movie, there's TAKOS, there's Penguins of Madagascar's antagonists and now here Tako is the mole.

Since the movie takes place in an alternate Marvel world, the origins of Tadashi and his group makes sense, being trained super-soldiers (kind of because of the formula they took has a strong physical endurance and power to them. However, all of them are all very well-trained in what weapons they choose to use and do they choose to use what weapons they can get their hands on. They're fewer super-soldiers as successful participants of a drug meant to withstand lots of stuff) in the line of Captain America or Black Widow.

It's easy to explain how a machine doesn't work as opposed to one that does work (just see my review for Frozen). Maybe that's why people can easily pick apart flaws of something they hate and go on furious rants including those who are ignorant (I am looking at you, Amazing Atheist).

I go on rants about the show on previous posts how they could have improved and what they did especially Glee. I mentioned things I repeat over and I keep thinking I am repeating things ad nausea on what they did by using the show had addressed and what I interpreted from said show.

Just please read them. These might be one of the non-slash works I recommended for awhile. I don't think I ever had a single fanfic post dedicated to non-slash, considering how proud I am a yaoi fangirl (I am proud of it just as the internet reviewers are proud of being said caustic critics about bad media).

Okay, I love superhero films. I haven't read the comics due to not knowing which store or library to visit; I honestly wanted to read everything about DC and Marvel.

I love how the films build up to the Big Damn Movie that is the Avengers. I love how Marvel did with their little-known superheroes and give them spotlights in their own movies, yes Disney may have made them but the movies are well-done in spite of hiccups.

I love Sky High and other well-written superhero movies so much that seeing an AU would send my heart aflutter. That does include the Nolan Batman films...which is still far better than Man of Steel or those DC movies other than Nolan and Burton Batman movies and those Superman movies. I might be missing some DC movies out there but on the front seat ride to the MCU and DCCU would be a ride especially in comparison to the faith that Marvel has in their characters (such as Big Hero 6 and Guardians of the Galaxy) is markedly different to DC (pressure on their characters thus actors to get what they're doing well. Considering it's Snyder on board, I don't want to think about it given his track record. I seriously want to give this guy a chance but experience with his past films made think it's not worth seeing it. Man of Steel is just stupid and I don't even mind people liking it or hating it, even though I have a negative emotion towards the movie. I don't care about DC/Marvel rivalry even though it's kinda funny though and I do like all superheroes I know and I love the first Iron Man film a lot. I don't care of dark and gritty vs lighthearted because all I care about is execution and because it's Snyder, I want someone else to helm it. He doesn't have the strength to carry a franchise that DC fans have been looking forward to since Marvel fans have since MCU's success like Whedon or Nolan. MoS may be financially successful but it was divisive and I personally do not like it for not getting the character right at all; it's joyless and I feel depressed and not pumped up unlike how I feel about Avengers or other MCU movies, hell even the Nolan and Burton Batman movies have some fun and strength in it more than MoS where they have little levity and just feel depressed and stale. I know in passing about the Superman mythos but even I know who Superman is supposed to be. Why, Snyder, why do you knock on Marvel when they know how to do business? Reaching to fans, younger generations and made a universe through shows and movies, even an App. Snyder, I consider you a terrible director but you really have no right to say that when your franchise is shaky at worst and dubious hope at best and it's all on you and your actors to deliver what DC fans wanted since Marvel fans have for years. Marvel have audience's faith and trust through earning due to conventions and what I stated before. DC/WB can do better than what they're doing business right now. Having the most iconic and recognizable heroes would be more harmful than one think especially since DC seems to rely on that. Marvel have little-known heroes make the big screen and look their receptions, better warmly greeted than MoS or Green Lantern. Marvel earned that trust whereas DC expected audience's reverence, assumption. Did you see MoS' ratings? Financial successful which I expected your movie to be but reviews are mixed and less than stellar than the Nolan films...which I must say that it would be the same for the crossover movie coming in March.). Just an observation, particularly in regards to Snyder, is standing on shaky grounds and making shots that aren't well-placed especially when Marvel caught the audiences' trust and their effect on said people. The shows on TV could be placed like how the movies are doing with Agent Carter, Flash, Supergirl and Agents of SHIELD just to name a few examples popped in my head.

Some movies may not be good no matter how well-acted they may be. While MCU still has mistakes in their movies, DCCU better stand in the ball game as MCU is playing; I don't care of domination but what I do care is quality, not brand name (see my previous rant about animation). I know about their rivalry and understand the economy and capitalism with it but sometimes it's just exasperating and just want an anti-fan-war community on everything basically. I want a DCCU, okay but all the factors especially the pressure makes everything on that project more significant for all DC fans and moviegoers. Snyder and everyone on board really has to deliver and they need to deliver it well.

By the way, one scene Steve Rogers definitely looks like Alfred F. Jones. Yes, Hetalia is still in my heart and I can't step out even though I stepped out of Persona and even FMA fandom to move onto whatever fandom I got myself into; when countries are mentioned, my mind flashed to Hetalia counterpart. I'm sorry but that's how it is for me now.

Daiya no Ace Part II...Oh Boy...

I really hesitate to put on Daiya no Ace as the opening pic or video. I can do better than Yuji Terajima (I refuse to call him sensei now because his horrid writing nowadays just want to make me drop it but because Sawamura is the only reason why, flawed and sweet Sawamura, to not drop the series no matter how bad the downward spiral is).

To be sure, even mediocrity is even better than what DnA devolved to. I would love to think Part II would be even better or to be at least decent or even mediocre/average but it's not. It's bad to see how Sawamura is treated, even by a character who is known to be kind and soft-spoken and one of the few characters who treated our main protagonist with the kindness that others didn't reward him for all his hard work. We are told of Furuya's power-ups but we were never shown anything worthy to note. These characters are from a powerhouse school and they should know better that Furuya's official stats and ERA is terrible alongside with his poor openings and sportsmanship; Furuya's a second year and he had not improved. It's bad to see how much Haruichi to suddenly lose his skill on BATTING when that's his strong point established in Part I; if you want to show a somewhat bad skill improved into a good one, you could do the fielding since you focused a lot on the batting on the first part. Just what in the name of Godoka and Man and Woman of the Beginning are you doing?! What Miyuki putting down Sawamura? Miyuki is a kuudere and has a hidden soft spot for Sawamura, the only other person beside Chris he can allow to be himself. Miyuki, the one person who found Sawamura to be interesting, is putting down his favorite pitcher in favor for the Creator's Pet. All of the OOC and insane troll logic application make me want to yell at the poor community dogs around my neighborhood and I love those dogs. And throwing street signs and public property into the air, accumulating debt but whatever.

I would point out that DnA in Japan is losing popularity to Sports' Anime/Manga newcomers in Haikyuu. DnA has the advantage being a long-runner for nine years and the most popular sport in Japan but seeing from the Japanese and Chinese sites, there are more dislike and even hate towards Terajima lately. From the comments I can translate on my own, they fear there would dead balls and repetition with Furuya's pitching and it's less Sawamura's rise to ace status and more Furuya no Ace.

Just like I wouldn't put too much money on Bleach and Naruto's arcs, I wouldn't put much money on any consistency that real baseball fans who can take their suspension of disbelief for since the series is realistic to a degree. A nation who loves baseball would point out what's wrong when official stats are there for all to see and what the series have shown to be really bad.

Look, diehard DnA fans, you can like whatever you like or see a character in a different light but when the construct of the story is falling apart in its new logic especially once you took in official records and what is happening in said games particularly with Furuya and Miyuki and everyone in Seidou but Sawamura, you should know better. The story is heading toward a disappointment that the series is devolving into.

You know at some point I was thinking of doing a fusion of Kamen Rider with Daiya no Ace. I was actually thinking of actively killing off Sawamura so that when all the characters realize just how much he had done for them, Rider or not. I was actively thinking of making Sawamura leave in some way either as a space god or just plain dead to get my point across to these unappreciative Seidou team AKA Terajima but Terajima does seem to hate his own MC even though the MC is the reason why many chose to go along with his laughable insane logic story. Furuya is comparable to Micchy except Micchy realized his wrongs and atone for them, being the lone Armored Rider of Earth. If it's that bad that I think putting together a show that's known to be dark and serious to the point of tragedy with a work that's about sports in a realistic setting but nonetheless have no tragic setting on par of Gaim or Ryuki or Black to the point I was willing to kill off a character who is my baby of the series. I even wanted to send out a letter to the mangaka to kill off Sawamura at this point because of his horrendous treatment of him that even those who bashed the characters would feel the harshness. You know what, even those who bashed characters, that these people show less creativity than you Terajima, love wherever their fic came from. Yeah, I pulled Insults to Rocks trope and would that show how much I despair of the sports manga/anime lately. Hell, if I wanted to kill off Sawamura, I would let him get his revenge a la Sound Horizon's Marchen even if it's OOC and it's basically bashing characters but what I wanted to do is call them out for their inappropriate behavior towards their Ace. I want them to be regretful towards their Ace all along that their insults towards his character, a character who improved in taking loss and behavior. He may be stupid but he's not brain-dead that Terajima tried to push. By god, Sawamura is serious on the field and he would do anything to win a game for his team and played with his team. Remember the first game we saw Sawamura played in the first chapter/episode of the dang series, he was completely serious even if his team on the losing end, make that losing streak. I just wanted to cry when this serious boy slipped, fucking slipped!

Sawamura is not perfect. He's loud and annoying. His personality traits are blatantly there and emphasized excessively by the characters AKA Terajima. Yet he works hard and gets results. You cannot turn a blind eye to progress. If there are athletic teachers who do this and put down their students for their personality rather than for progress, then that teacher's horrible. You cannot turn a blind eye to hard work that ended up not getting rewarded. If I was actively thinking to kill off Sawamura so that these characters would be back to their original characterization, then you know it's bad that I am thinking of killing off my baby of the series. I didn't even think to kill off my babies in other fandoms.

You too, Shizuo. You help me get my point across!

I don't want to hate the series. I really don't even want to dislike it when I love the arcs of the Third Years with Second and the First Years before the third-years left. I love the development and the story presented. It's just for a sports anime/manga I like, it's discouraging to see characters warped when the mangaka feels like it. Wait, that's the series: not Daiya no Ace, the new title is When Terajima Feels Like It, The Baseball Edition. This is why I love Hiromu Arakawa, people; she knows how to tell a story and keep consistency with her characters and plot without driving them OOC.

Even though the road I am heading on the DnA manga route is leading to disappointment, at least I got loads of other series that no matter how mediocre/average/decent/good/great they are those works got better writing than what DnA is right now. I just want to cry in despair and rage whenever I read the new chapters, yelling at the poor logic and development when the first part at least established logic that's realistic enough to understand and development are decent, throwing street signs and vending machines like Shizuo Heiwajima. The original second Yugioh series has much better writing than DnA even though the whole franchise is full of absurdities. They're both game anime but if I were to choose, I would prefer YGO rather than DnA nowadays. Seriously, YGO has better logic and development in later arcs than Part II in the whole. DnA would have been my choice if there had been better writing but the insane logic, especially for a realistic setting, is so frustrating. At least YGO has the excuse of being over-the-top even though later installments deconstruct the foundation in spite of sloppy writing. Arc-V is the closest I have seen for a very brutal deconstruction on par of Gen Urobuchi of YGO yet. Even from the many episodes of the original YGO, it was absurd although Narm Charm kicks in and maybe that's what attracts me to it. I didn't say I dislike the original; it's after all that got me watching YGO after all. It's just some subplots go nowhere, characterization goes nowhere and didn't exactly live up to its potential...well to a degree but in comparison to later installments, those took it to a whole new level and have better writing. YGO the original anime series, the second one, is average in my opinion.

By the way, I don't drop works no matter how bad they're getting. I usually put them on hold and until I'm interested in that again, I would finish where I had left off. I have a love-hate relationship with Disney and Pixar nowadays and I still watch them while avoiding praise/criticism to teasers and misc. Frozen is definitely not my favorite but again if I were to choose between Frozen or DnA, then DnA because at least there's effort...on the wrong details sure but at least there are things to like, however small. Same could be said about Frozen but it's too small and I just wished more effort and coherence could be made in an otherwise flawed but enjoyable film. My cousin hates the movie and she and I love to rant about it while still respecting those who like it. Again, I don't hate Frozen and the virtues drilled into my head in school like respect and kindness overcome any kind of negativity in me. I'm the Switzerland of my family, taking a neutral stance. Hell, even in high school when there's a debate in my Government class, I took the middle of the room and the only one besides another person that stands for agreeing and disagreeing with both sides. Though I am not gun-happy as Hetalia Switzerland/Vash.

Daiya no Ace used to be good with development for loads of teams, individually and together. Now the series devolved into the mangaka's favorites, warping characters to OOC, ignoring logic and canon that he previously written to fit whenever he feels like it. I am not saying that he has no right to his story but when his manga is losing popularity despite its many advantages, he really should have known better.

Please, Godoka, get rid of my despair!

The only two reasons I am even staying with DnA is because of Sawamura and the Misawa battery. I cling to see the Misawa battery (and to still see it in Part II makes me cry tears of relief) so much because I don't want to have a dethroning moment with any type of media. Eijun has such great development and to see it backtrack from his performance from the autumn tournament makes my teeth grit.
